Tea and Balls

Yesterday I hopped in the car and went on a little road trip to Mission to visit Cynthia, her mum, her sister-in-law and Denise. Cynthia served us tea in fancy teacups, sandwiches and all kinds of treats. This was all well and good, but the best part? Making these balls. Cynthia found a tutorial how to make these Christmas ornaments with Styrofoam balls and pieces of fabric. I love how they turned out. They really do look like they are sewn together – but they aren’t! They’re tucked into the Styrofoam. The tutorial is below so you can see how they’re made. Even if you don’t want to make them, I suggest you watch the video anyway because:

1) I love how she says her name, “Pam”. She has a very cute accent.

2) Denise pointed this out to us – the Christmas tree mysteriously jiggles every now and then. Watch! It’s eerie.

I had a great time at our crafty weekend tea! I think I’ll make a few more if I find some balls between now and Thursday.

Christmas in less than a week! SQUEEE!

Those are SO COOL! I love how they look! We might have to make some for Maple Hoo (goodness knows we have enough fabric…)

And this last week before Christmas seems like it’s going to go AWFULLY slowly. I want to open presents NOW! :P

I’m with you, Schnookie. I have to work until Christmas EVE! AKH! It’s like it will never get here. Sheesh.
