All over the place.
After a long day of sewing in Abbotsford, it was lovely to get an invite from #21 over for dinner and to watch the UFC fights - the main fight being the Ronda Rousey fight. Man, she is like an anaconda. SNAKE SQUEEZE! Yikes! Just a few hours before the dining and the fighting, I had successfully completed a take-out coffee cup from this paper piecing pattern. It only took about 6 hours! Ha! But I got it done. I had kind of forgotten how to do this technique, but after sewing and picking out backwards sewn seams, I remembered and didn't leave until I got the block finished. I'll turn it into a mug rug tomorrow. I've got the day to work on it, watch the Oscars, and then go see the Bladezillas play. Sounds like a pretty great day to me. Meanwhile, back in the Bible Belt... I spotted this sign on my way to the quilt guild meeting. Who knew a church with the word, "Reformed" in their title would have a sense of humour? Perhaps the Lord really does work in mysterious ways. Anyway, that was my day in reverse. I am so happy to be sewing. When I get up tomorrow, I'll be up in my sewing room stitching away. I feel peaceful just thinking about it.
