The Blue Jays played VERY well today. They hit 3 home runs and swept the Texas Rangers 7-2. It turned out to be a great birthday for Grandma. We all wore our shirts and people all around us wished her a happy birthday. Even as we were leaving the stadium, two girls pointed at her and said, “Hey! That must be Margaret! Happy Birthday!”. Grandma loved it.

We not only gave Grandma a foam Blue Jays finger and all wore our matching shirts, but Uncle Bill called ahead and had them put birthday greetings up for Grandma on the jumbo-tron. Check it:

I’m going to get this printed out in a big size and send it to her.

When we arrived at the stadium, the retractable roof was closed up due to rain. About half way through the game, I felt a change in the temperature and looked up only to see the roof was beginning to open up for us. There was a bit of blue sky and still a lot of clouds, but the temperature was cool and very pleasant. About 20 minutes later, this was our view:

I am in love with this city.

Tomorrow is home time, so we’ll be packing up and heading out tomorrow afternoon. We have been having a really good time. I’m definitely going to miss this place.

Thank you Blue Jays!
