Happy birthday to you, Mike Browne!
Today was Mike’s birthday, and in celebration, we lazed about always making sure to be in front of a fan blowing hot air on us. Delicious, hot, summer air, that is. I made a yummy salad for dinner – cucumbers, watermelon, peaches and blueberries with a bit of balsamic vinegar and some olive oil on it with a touch of pepper. I kept it in the fridge until the very last minute and it was quite refreshing. I’ll make some more tomorrow.
Rather than a cake, Mike said he wanted chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting. EASY. He’s a minimalist for birthday treats. I’m pretty sure last year he requested plain chocolate as well.
Our new coffee maker has now been converted to an iced tea machine, so we’ve been staying hydrated whilst laying around.
I think LAZY could sum up this day for all of us – especially those kitties. My laziest moment (wait, that was way longer than a moment) must have been watching the women run the Olympic marathon today. Laying on the couch watching people running 42.195 kilometres? That’s really lazy.

It was too hot to do anything other than lie around watching Olympics. WHEW! It’s 3am now and I am typing this because…well, it’s TOO DAMN HOT! UGH!

Your day sounds lovely, I was a hot mess trying to sew in the sweaty heat- yuck. Gave up on that pretty fast!
