Last week I bought Vivienne McMaster’s Tips & Tricks For Taking Dreamy Photos and gave it a try! I love Vivienne’s hazy, summery photos. The apples were the perfect subjects, seeing as apple-picking-day turned out to be bright, hot and cheery.
I forgot play around with the focus when I took these photos. I was preoccupied with making sure there was lots of light coming in, so everything is mostly in focus, but blown out. I have to remember the bokeh next time.
I’ll be getting to the cutting and peeling and roasting of the apples this weekend. Time to get the Rotato and roasting pan…
..and the lard. Dreamy lard. Is that possible? I’ll try it on the weekend.
Thanks Vivienne, I’m going to keep working on my dreaminess! I think this will look lovely on quilts, pumpkins and maybe even Christmas trees.
Side note – I really need to find a white Christmas tree for this year. I’m obsessed. The kitties will look so nice in front of of it.
