What is it?

While Oscar was a bit hesitant at first…

Woohoo!

I’m sure he’ll be sitting on top of the washer and/or dryer in no time – just for the warmth factor. He can move back and forth from the top of the dishwasher back to the dryer. Meanwhile, Donner has been walking towards the new appliances in slow motion…I guess he’s trying to determine if it’s dangerous or not.

As for us? We cheered when the delivery men arrived with our machines. First we had to use some kind of washing machine puck in there to wash it out – there’s a cleaning setting on this washer. Hopefully this will keep away that sour, mildew smell we had in our clothes off and on at our old place.

Mike is checking something in there right now – something to do with the vents and those metal elbows. He’s connected them all with shiny, metal tape. I’m pretty sure that’s the same kind of tape some people use to make Metal Tape Art. Hmmm…once the venting is all secure, I believe I will be taking that metal tape up to my craft room.

Also, these machines are super quiet, with the exception of the odd gurgle here and there. Good thing.

Mike playing World of Warcraft

Wouldn’t want to disturb Mike while he’s playing World of Warcraft. Looks like I’ll be seeing more of Mike now that the washer is in the same room as he is.

I really like our place! It’s cozy and it’s coming along nicely.

Which reminds me, our new neighbours are really great. Johanna and Scott in #21 let us use their washer & dryer in the meantime. Thanks guys!

*laughs* FLUME tape. :) Yes, it’s meant for exactly what he’s using it for.

i love that tape! you can do so much fun stuff with it. also, alcohol ink on it is AWESOME!

and i’m wishing you non-smelly laundry! my grandma’s had 2 or 3 front loading washers, but they’ve all stunk. it might’ve been her that was the issue though!
