I am getting ready for house guests next weekend! Next Friday, my sister and cousin are coming to town for a visit. We have no official plans yet, but I can assure you there will be 4 days of good times.
For the most part of the day, I worked out in the yard. I took a few photos, but not much has changed out there. I still have some time to plant my pumpkin and bird-house gourd seeds, which is a good thing. The yard out front is mostly crabgrass and weeds and so far this season I’ve broken 1 shovel and 1 pitchfork getting down to the soil. I picked up a handy foot tiller today – it’s a tool that looks like this. I have lots of tilling to do out front before I can plant any seeds, but I’m well on my way with this thing. I just take a break when it starts getting to feel like too much work for one person. But it isn’t. I’m just really impatient. I just need to get into the habit of working at it a bit at a time instead of trying to get it done all in one afternoon.
While I was working out front, Donner would occasionally look out the window to watch the birds eating at the Kitty Entertainment Centre. I didn’t snag a photo of him looking down at me out the window, but did get this photo of him from inside the house instead. I think Oscar was sleeping in his kitty condo at the time.
