Making something

Sari yarn flower

Cynthia’s post today reminded me that I need to make something with the novelty yarn that Cathy of The Steam Trunk Craft Works Products gave us at the last Modern Quilt Guild meeting. Did I say, “gave us”? Yes I did! She gave us each some ribbon or sari yarn to make something with. We submit our projects by mid-March to her.

I thought I’d crochet a flower garland, but will definitely need more ribbon for that, won’t I? I just may add some to it and add some other yarn as well.

It felt good to get some yarn and a crochet hook in my hands again.

In other news, we’ve got a big night planned for tomorrow. We’re taking hockey photos of our pal & neighbour, Jason, of the Bladezillas, at his hockey game. I’m not sure what you’d call this team…the beer league? Old timer’s league? Community league? No idea. In any event, there will be photos of people playing hockey tomorrow! Yay! I can’t wait for that. Hockey portraits? YESSSS!

Love the creative projects I’ve been seeing! I keep going “why didn’t I think of that?” Meanwhile, I’m still hoping mine comes together the way I envision it. Copper wire and beads involved, that’s all I’m saying!
