Oscar has been very patient with his Shakespeare collar on these last few days. However, this morning was the first time he pretty much refused to keep it on. He was up early this morning flicking it off with his paw. I’d put it back on and pop! Collar off again. Mike finally tightened it up a little snugger (but not too tight) and he’s not able to pull it off. His stitches come out on Thursday and then this travesty can be put behind us. He’s not letting his collar slow him down, either. He’s been downstairs letting the girls know he’s back in business – putting his paw under the connecting door and caterwauling. Sheesh. Once he started yodeling to the kitties downstairs, we knew he was going to be okay. He was awfully quiet for about 5 days after his surgery. I didn’t like that one bit.
I figured since Oscar has a few more days with the Shakespeare collar, I thought a Shakespeare quote would be appropriate.
Gloucester:
The trick of that voice I do well remember;
Is’t not the King?
Lear:
Ay, every inch a king!

I’d better be honest – I’ve never read King Lear. I just found this quote and thought it would work. Out of context, it works pretty well, but once you read the summary of story…not so much. Oh well. I’ll keep it anyway.
On another note completely, one of the bonuses about using the new WordPress software is that you can see the searches people used and ended up on my blog. Here they are:
carole browne, fin the canuck costume, can tapeworms come out of a mouth, happy birthday mom, carolbrowne
Ha! “Can tapeworms come out of a mouth”. That’s my favourite.

Ew, and Oscar is going to kill us soon. This collar is angering him.
Nice Make over. My NoScript prevented me from making any comments. It was stopping the Discus add-in. Anyway got it working. We just watched the movie “Up”. Oscar has been wearing the cone of shame. Of course that only applies to dogs.
he looks oh so very….Elizabethan Portrait-Like.
