I was invited to a housewarming party today at Fiona & Andrea’s new digs. It’s a lovely refurbished apartment in Vancouver where we enjoyed delicious chili with all the trimmings. Of course, there was plenty of socializing going on, and the delicious coffee flowed freely. Feeeyona always has good coffee on the go.
That’s Wheezy and Fee up top. I couldn’t decide which photo I liked better, so I used them both. And then kept with the diptych theme for the rest of the photos.
Here’s Andrea reading the runes book. A few of us picked runes out of a blue velvet bag…

…and the magic rune I picked symbolized harvest…but the harvest won’t be sown for a year. What kinda crappy rune was that? Sheesh. Well, I’ll let you know, October 21, 2013, what my harvest was. I sure hope it’s something delicious.
Speaking of delicious, one of the housewarming guests was a lovely dog, named Brandy. She was super friendly, snuggly AND full of beans.

As much as I love the kitties, I sure do miss having a snuggly dog. Thank goodness I’ve got pals with pups. I don’t think a dog would be welcomed into our house by Oscar or Donner, so I’ll have to borrow other people’s dogs.
And with that, another weekend comes to a close. This one seemed to whiz by. That’s alright – in a few short weeks, my mom and sister are coming for a visit for the November long weekend. This means I’ll have to clean up the craftroom soon and I should probably vacuum out the couch so my sister doesn’t have to sleep on crumbs and spare change.
That will be next weekend’s project.
