Here’s Donner in front of the kitty robot. As you can see there’s not food in the dish part, just in the plastic bubble. The robot makes the next scheduled delivery tomorrow morning at 5:30. But in the meantime, no food? No problem. Donner’s on the case.
This is how you get kibbles from the robot Donner style:
1) Put your paw out and bring it toward the kitty robot:
2) Put your whole kitty leg right up the feeder spout:
He’s able to get a few pieces of kibble out this way. I’m not sure how, exactly, but every time he does this, one or two pieces of Meow Mix falls out – just a little snack here and there. Donner is much more wily than Oscar is when it comes to getting food. Oscar is nice to me when he sees me head to the kitchen, but for the most part, he just waits to be fed, or for a butter knife in the sink with some margarine on it.
In addition to the kitty robot heists, Donner, cruises by us like a shark whenever some kind of food is nearby.
He’s a hunter, alright. And sometimes, he looks like a mongoose.
