Slow and steady wins the race

Mike’s Man Quilt is getting bigger! Finally. I felt like I was sewing small pieces for ages and ages. But once I sewed them together and then added a big piece, the quilt started to grow and that makes the impatient part of me very, very happy. Finally! It’s getting bigger. Also, there’s underwear in there. Gently used. LOLS!

It feels heavy to me – much heavier than cotton pieces, that’s for sure. I’m not sure how I’m going to quilt it – whoa, something funky like this would be great! Actually, that swirly quilt is awesome. Or maybe something simple and wavy like this.

Getting up early with Mike paying off. I’m getting some sewing in, some laundry done, and I’m listening to all kinds of podcasts – Jay Mohr (of course) – listen to the Jay Leno podcast. He’s amazing. And some CraftyPod podcasts.

I don’t know if I’ll always be an early riser, but it’s not too bad for the time being.
