The evening shift

This is Mike as he got in the car after the evening shift tonight. I pick him up from work because if I didn’t, I’d never see the guy. His schedule rotates, so sometimes we’re in synch, but lately, we haven’t been, so I see him at night and we usually stay up late after his shift and watch an episode of The Tudors (when is Anne Boleyn going to get her head cut off? EVER? They are really dragging this out.) or James Ellroy’s L.A. – City of Demons TV show. It’s all murder mysteries and true crime stories. That’s been our routine for the last couple of months.

I seem to have lots of time to get things done, like crafting and sewing, and preparing meals for the next day and getting organized. HOWEVER, this is not what I’ve been doing. Instead, I’ve been playing a social media game (which shall remain nameless) for hours on end and getting nothing done. I can’t figure out why my brain feels like I’m making something when all I’m doing is clicking a mouse. So I’ve decided to stop playing all together in an effort to focus on my photos and my crafty stuff.

Wish me luck! If I seem crabby the next few weeks, I’m really sorry.

It’s the withdrawal.

Once you have a few craft projects completed to look at it will make you feel better. A visual of things completed. Hey, nothing wrong with taking a break and playing video games!

All those games are created to be addicting. Once your hooked it is hard to get out. Glad your kicking the addiction!
