The sky was beautiful today.

See?

I don’t have much to report today at all – that’s pretty evident when all I have to show you are photos of the sky. But the clouds did look very nice today. They worked extra hard last night with all the thunder and lightning. I guess phase two is looking like cotton candy.

Today I just had work stuff, saw some friends, had a spinach, mango smoothie…you know, the usual. I did, however, get more information about the fashion show on Saturday night. My work pal, Fred, has a collection in the show. It’s a mans fashion show, so that should be fun. Now that I think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a fashion show. Do the ones in the mall count? I don’t think so. I think this is going to be a fancy one. I’m sure I’ll find something nice that Mike could wear. I love the hoodie-and-suit-jacket look, I hope see some of that on Saturday. And Fred always wears his own clothes, so there will be lots of pants with seams on the outside and lots of raw edges. The shirts he makes has pleats and stuff as well.

This was all well and good until I had the thought, “What the heck do you wear to a fancy mans fashion show?”. Well, I’m stumped. I just may go with black capris and a button up shirt – pressed, with starch. I can’t go wrinkly to the fashion show. Ever since I started at VCAD I’ve been pressing my clothes like never before for fear of a fashion design student seeing me with dryer creases in my pants.

NOT. COOL.

Ironing clothes due to peer pressure? Hey mom! Did you hear that?

I just made her very, very, proud. She’s a BIG proponent of ironing.
