Donner is NOT My Cat From Hell. He and Oscar are settling in just fine to our new place. It didn’t take long at all. And, I learned from Jackson Galaxy (that cannot be his real name) that if you give a kitty a slow eye blink, the cat will do the same back to you. It works with Donner! I still have try it with Oscar.
Speaking of slow eye blinks. I can’t keep my eyes open. I went to work early today (I switched shifts & got New Years Eve off in lieu) – like really early – I was at the bus stop at 6:40 am. WHAT? I KNOW! I’m not used to that at all. Once I got home, Mike & I watched a movie called Looper, but I kept dozing off. I thought for sure it must have been 11:30 or so, but it was 9:03. Whoa. One early morning and I’ve completely lost all track of time and what day it is!
Please note: people taking the bus at 6:40 am are very polite at the Newton Exchange. And, it was a lovely ride into Vancouver.
Tomorrow’s a big day for us! Our washer and dryer are arriving! I have never been so excited to wash a duvet cover in my life!
You can bet there will be photos tomorrow. With a duvet cover spinning in the wash cycle.
I can smell the soap now.

Slow eye blinks and nose touching along with my uncanny purring skills are signals of feline affection I utilized in taming our formerly bloodthursty scatching monster of a cat. She can still get moody if Im petting her on my chest and see her eyes darken and ears flatten out I will sloooowwwwlly pull a pillow across my exposed face before shooing her on her way, we claim Kitteh progress not kitteh perfection.
Very happy youre finally getting your washer and dryer, mmmmmm the smell of fresh laundry, pulling on a warm sweater…..good stuff xoxoxox
