Just another Thursday

Thursdays with Malcolm has become a regular occurrence, even on Valentines Day. Sadly, Mike & I both agreed last night that we would skip Valentines Day due to cough due to cold. It’s okay, we’ve got 2 tickets to a comedy show on Saturday with Marc Maron and Margaret Cho will be there. We’ll both rest up so we can be front and centre at the podcast all healthy and Valentiney then.

Malcolm’s visit was a short one tonight, he wished us sickies farewell as Mike and I coughed and sniffed on the couch.

Ah boo! We are both sick simultaneously!

But I won’t go on and on about that because, well, I already did. But, I’ve got a blast from the past to show you, courtesy of my mom. She emailed this photo of me, my sister, and my two cousins at McDonalds in 1982.

Holy Grimace!

Holy Grimace hats! Incredible! You may recognize them as they are the same cousins shown here in front of the Swiss Air plane. Yup. Same kids!

Like our hats? We’re all looking good. I especially like my sister holding on to the snake stuffed animal – very timely as we are in to the Year of the Snake. Mom said it was a prize she won at Circus Circus, back when it was a family-friendly casino. The parents would gamble in one area, and the kids would play games in another area for prizes – pretty much unattended. Amazing! And we survived! I guess we stopped in Vegas on the way to Toronto? I do not remember this!

In any event, great hats and great outfits. We were looking good in 1982!
