When all of a sudden, there arose such a clatter!

Rest in Peace, Disco Christmas Tree

Today at 5:35 am, we lost our beloved thrifted White Christmas tree in a terrible cat-related accident. The kitties are fine, but the tree did not survive the fall from the table. Unable to bring myself to take a photo of the “after” scene, I prefer to remember the little white Disco tree as it once was.

Rest in peace, little tree. You will be missed.

We’ll be putting everything breakable in the china cabinet from now on. Donner and Oscar are so lively at night these days, it’s probably for the best. I’m sure they’ll grow out of it at some point. Won’t they?

I’m off to console myself with some cross-stitching of Kenny Powers now. It’s a simple and funny pattern. Just what the doctor ordered. Oh, and chocolate. I’m pretty sure the doctor recommended chocolate as well.

Thanks guys! I’m sure I’ll find another one day at the MCC or another thrifty spot.

Also, Moniera – the cross-stitch project of Kenny Powers? If you’ve not see that show, you MUST. If you like raunchy humour, that is!

My 2 cats managed to knock a TABLE down the stairs at 3:30 a.m. abut 2 weeks ago. I thought I had been shot when I awoke to that table bouncing down the stairs. Oh, they are 10 and 9 years old respectively, so not sure how long it will take your kittens to grow out of the “lively at night” stage! Sorry about your tree – it looked lovely!

so sad! i love my little ceramic tree … i was worried it would break in the move, but it survived … sadly, kitties are more destuctive than moving. we have a clay cafe here in truro (one of those places where you paint your own stuff) and i noticed they had similar trees in their window … maybe you could make your own! 🙂

  4. Cynthia says:

    Dang! That really sucks :((
Bucky is 15 & still up to his antics, we have to put him in the bathroom at night (he has his little bed, food, water & litterbox in there already) to keep him quiet at night.
I guess on the bright side tho’ this means we’ll be on the hunt for a new one- more thrifting adventures!!

  5. Leah says:

Well! That was a very cute litte tree. I will mourn it’s demise.
I think the Kenny Powers cross stitch suits you to a T. I can see my Grandmother’s eyes twinkling with bubbling laughter over it!
