Won’t you take me to…Sushi Town?

PHEW! I’m exhausted from all my birthday emails and facebook messages, cashing in my Starbucks gift card for coffee, eating birthday cake before noon, having my buddy take me for lunch and then having birthday dinner at Sushitown around the corner from our house. My first day of being 41 was excellent!

My birthday dinner consisted of my favourite sushi roll called Mangonise – there’s prawns and mango in this sushi and they drizzle it with some kind of mango mayo. Really very yummy. I have it every time we go to Sushi Town.

You know who else we got to see today? Baby Brodie. I got really close this time.

Babies sure are cute when they’re sleeping.

Then he woke up, and looked at me like he wanted to punch me.

Wow. Tough guy! But he was a little less intimidating after he had a bottle.

Much better.

Just when I thought I couldn’t get any better Cynthia emailed me to let me know she had seen some old Brownie cameras at the MCC (Might Cranky Churchladies) Thrifstore for $20. I put my order in and voila! We’ve just added a road trip to Mission to get my camera while my mom and sister are here! What if it still works? What if it uses 35mm film? ZOMG, I can’t wait to try it out. Even if it doesn’t work, it will make a lovely decoration.

And thank you for being my friends and sharing my birthday with me. It was a great day.
