As Constable Bailey and Rocky reported in for work, Sergeant Batista called them both in to his office.
“Since you are a so well liked in the community, Constable Bailey,” Sergeant Batista started, “I need you to put up additional wanted posters for The XMAS Bandit. I want you to let the good citizens know that we are doing everything we can to capture this perpetrator. We know he is in the town limits and we are very close to nabbing him.”
“Oh, how I would love to take down the XMAS Bandit, one-on-one, hand-to-hand combat style.” Zuzu thought to herself.
“Constable, I need you to please let the community know not to approach him directly if they see him. We know he’s armed and dangerous, what with his tire iron, his ax, grappling hook and that great big flashlight of his.”
“Yes sir.” Zuzu said. She grabbed some wanted posters and headed towards the town square.
“And after you’ve let them know, you and Rocky need to start tracking him. He’s close. I can feel it. You need to get this bad guy.”
“I’m on it, Sarge!” Zuzu responded and headed out to let the people in town know what to do in case they see the XMAS Bandit.

Once Constable Bailey started putting up the wanted posters, the curious citizens quickly started to gather round and Zuze found this the perfect opportunity to let the town folk know what to do when they see the XMAS Bandit.
“Please do not approach the suspect! He is armed and dangerous. He has a grappling hook and a case full of gold coins. If you see him, please call 911 immediately!”
Zuzu continued, “Are there any questions? No? Now Rocky and I are going to get to work. We need to track this perp!”
Joy smiled to herself, “Hmmm…should I tip off that lady cop now or later? Let me think about it. I think I need a coffee, first.”

Wait, Joy’s going to BETRAY the XMAS Bandit??? Ack! I can’t keep up with the double-crossing in this caper!
Wait a minute! Zuzu tells the public the Xmass Bandit has a case full of gold coins and is suggesting they turn him in for a measly $10,000? Does she know how much gold is WORTH? A one ounce gold bullion coin at Friday’s close of trading was selling for $1,170.75 (this is a Canadian show, they have got to be Canadian Maple Leaves). There were far more than 10 of those puppies in the case! Maybe I am a cynic, but I don’t believe that was a good idea.
