Advent Calendar Day 2 – The tools of the trade

I’m not sure the Christmas Bandit is the smartest fellow. As pointed out in the previous post by the ever alert Mike Browne, he does have keys. So why bother with a grappling hook?

Tools of the trade

Perhaps he’s just fallen to peer pressure – all the other bandits have one, I should get one, too. Mind you, grappling hooks are pretty cool. Superheroes like Lego Batman and Lego Robin use them and, according to Wikipedia, it can be used as a weapon, rather than just another way to hoist yourself up the side of a building. That could come in handy. Maybe the Christmas Bandit could use it to keep other bandits away from stealing his keys and just walking in to whatever building they are for and taking whatever they want.

Another item in today’s box with the #2 on it – an empty briefcase. I’m sure it will soon to be filled up with loot from some illegal activity.

As you can see, I have included tomorrow’s little box in this photo – just  a little hint of what the future will bring. Hopefully it will include some Christmas content.

A very urban advent calendar… Is there a latte shop on the corner, too?

I have decided the dude is an undercover cop. I have no idea why. Just intuition. I now know more about grappling hooks and Batman than I ever wanted to know. The sky is certainly current.
I am wondering what the thing is under the latte shop window. It looks like a 10 litre water bottle with gambling chips in it.
Happy full moon!

Oddly enough, I appreciate a man with a shine on his shoes.

As the person who put the boxes together. I am thinking that if it is Christmas content you are waiting for, perhaps you should either a) cheat and add something from elsewhere or b) wait until next year. Xmas FAIL boat is in the harbour.

when i scrolled down yesterday and just saw the hat, i thought that this was going to be a “beachcombers” christmas and it was a playmobil relick (relic? relik? relique?) … but i don’t remember him ever being a masked criminal! ;) as for the keys … they are to the get-away car and hide-out, silly!

Kelaine – Oh yes to the latte shop! Excellent suggestion. Leah – undercover cop? Nice one. Kell – shiny shoes is one thing, but TOO shiny on a Saturday? Not good. Trust me on that. Mike – Got it. Will do some additions – no shortage of decorations around these parts. Michelle – DAMN! Beachcomers would be THE best!

Man. You guys are really the smartest. What would I do without you?

Yay! Playmobil Advent! I love the criminal theme.

I think those keys are to get into the safe, but he doesn’t have the keys to the actual building. So he’ll have to grapple up to the roof to get inside, but it’ll be a piece of cake to get to the loot once he beats the laser alarm system.
