Editor’s note: Oof. This was a tough one today. Just bear with me on this, okay? Okay! Thanks in advance. Remember in the movie, Bad Santa, where he patches up the kid’s Advent Calendar he wrecked while super drunk and then replaces the chocolates with anything he can find – like candy corn and aspirins? This is one of those situations – except I’m not in a drunken haze, but it is early in the morning and I’m drinking my first cup of coffee of the day. Thank you in advance for your understanding with this.

Constable Zuze got up early this morning, had her breakfast of just one egg (poached in the microwave), a glass of juice and a piece of whole wheat toast. She then headed out to the shooting range to practice her mad gun skillz.

Imagine her surprise when she got to the shooting range to see they had decked it out for Christmas.

Crappiest shooting range ever.

Instead of hanging the paper targets from the ceiling, they put the targets into giant Christmas balls. It’s a nice touch, right? It seems the p0lice shooting range wants the 0fficers to practice shooting aliens instead of people*. Just look at the size of that target’s head. It’s huge! And those long arms…and that super skinny torso. Maybe the p0lice know something we don’t? Maybe this is practice for some alien invasion? Whatever it is, I can assure you that Constable Zuzu Bailey is an excellent shot and is ambidextrous – she can shoot both left and right-handed.

Let’s just hope that tomorrow’s package contains something where I don’t have to draw anything at 6:00 in the morning. For all of our sakes.

*I am not an illustrator. Obviously :-(

Poor Carol! Needing to draw before breakfast!
I sauntered into work to discover that I need to move my desk NOW, not to graciously pack up this afternoon, and they didn’t take away a bit of temporary wall, so I have a computer set up in an oasis of caios. Eventually they will take away the wall bit, move my desk bit with the computer on it 3 feet, they the caios will form into an office.
Not a productive day at the office.

Hey, totally had to leave you a comment – I read Cynthia’s blog, and was just googling Vancouver Convention Center +raindrop to see if there have been any new pictures posted of the rain drop (I was one of the sculptors that worked on that giant thing, and love to see pictures of it out there in the elements! Hopefully a rainy or snowy day shot will pop up soon). Anyhow I searched images and found a couple that you had taken and were on flickr. I saw the name Carol Browne and though that name sounds familiar and realized that I’ve seen your name a bit on Cynthia’s blog a bunch and thought I’d write to tell you about how small this internet world is! Nice shots by the way!
