He fell into my grocery basket

I probably didn’t NEED another Christmas tree decoration, but this one just dropped into my grocery cart as I picked up some apples and oranges for juice. Mike rolled his eyes, but I’m pretty sure he’ll like it just as much as I do – especially on the tree.

Speaking of Christmas trees,

a) We are trying to decide which way to go for a tree this Christmas. Last year we went with the “tree system” – essentially a small tree on top of a cupboard. This was mainly due to our concern about little Donner. We still think he may be tempted to climb up a regular sized tree, and I totally want to see that. Heh. Maybe if I just put the non-glass decorations on the tree this year it will be okay. And as long as the tree is no where near the TV, everything will be just fine. Just stay away from the TV, Donner. It’s totally fine if the tree falls over with you in it on the dining room table.

b) I spotted a decorated tree in a neighbour’s window all lit up today on my way home. I guess that’s the beauty of a fake Christmas tree – you can put it up a 6-8 weeks before the big day.

c) I read stats today that only 31% of people use real Christmas trees. The rest use fake ones or have no trees. *shudder*

Now I must go fold some laundry and put new sheets on the bed. Also, I need to track down the piece of paper with the address where I need to send my potholders to. Ugh. I have misplaced my potholders swap info for the Quilting Bee swap due…of course…November 30th. Wish me luck! My swap partner needs to get her quilted potholders by the end of the month! Oh, and I still need to make them. GAH. That’s another story all together.
