Vancouver Modern Quilting Guild party

There were cupcakes, fancy dogs and a quilt made from ties – all the ingredients for a most excellent and delicious party. And the stack of fabric in the background? None other than fabric designer, Cynthia Frenette’s designs for Robert Kaufman.

This little dog was sporting a fabulous scarf made from the quilting guild’s logo. Everyone was celebrating! Hooray!

Also, I finished my pouch.

I made it a drawstring pouch and worked very carefully this morning after breaking two of my last three needles. YIKES. I like how it turned out for the most part. I’d say it’s very modern.

After seeing some amazing quilts tonight and picking up a pattern (more will be revealed on that front later) I feel excited and motivated to get cracking back on the scrappy quilt again.

It’s about time.
