My favourite shots of the day

Such beautiful costumes and the flowing fans and fabric made this photo my favourite of the whole Chinese New Year parade. And I also really like this close up of the girls dancing below:

Look at those pants! If I had a pair like that, I’d wear them every day.

You can see many more photos of the parade here, too.

  1. Dianne says:

Wow…this photo is way better than TV. I saw them dancing on television & wondered if you two would be there in crowd watching! You were!!

  2. Leah says:

Oh, I am so glad you went! Those are gorgeous photos of the ladies. I want a figure like theirs!!! And the Pants.

I went to the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden on Friday all because of your lanturn photos. The Winter Flowering Plumb was just opening. The whole garden was very nice.
One of the shop owners was saying that the parade was moved from a noon start time to early in the morning and they had to end by 11:30 and usually it goes to 6 or so in the evening. I gotta get down to it next year.

Some of the shop windows in Chinatown had the most beautiful clothes. ***sigh***

  3. Carol Browne says:

No rain! It was great. And the sun shone out right near the end. Well, I was there, Dianne. Mike Browne was at home sleeping. Honk Shooo….honk shoo…

And I’m glad you got to see the lanterns. I’m sure the place was busy.
