I’ll go back to the Opening Ceremonies coverage, but I wanted to switch over to Sledge Hockey. We went to see Norway VS. Italy at UBC this morning. These games are definitely worth going to see even if we had to get up early on a Sunday morning on Daylight Savings Time morning.
Our buddy, Denise, picked us up and we all headed over to the newly built Thunderbird Arena for the game. During the warm up, I walked down closer to the ice and took photos of the guys warming up. A few of the guys saw me, like the Norwegian goalie, Kissinger Deng:
Oops. Busted. He’s looking right at me! I didn’t realize that until I got home and uploaded the photo.
This next Norwgian hockey player waved at me, and I waved back, but looking at this photo, maybe he wasn’t waving at me after all.

He’s not looking at me in this picture, that’s for sure.
And speaking of looking at me, I’m not sure this next guy is thinking nice things judging from his expression.
Italy was there, too. And very well supported.
This is just the beginning of my Sledge Hockey posts. I took many photos of these athletes and I’ll post them this week.

WOW! Mark and I are going on Thursday night. It looks so kool
At least the goalies smiling. I’m going to semi’s but dont think I’ll be lucky enough to get ice level. Good shots.
You’ll have lots of fun on Thursday, Harriet! And Photodreamz – just get there a bit early and you can walk right down almost to ice level for the warm up!
