The flame is surviving the pouring rain and is kept at the water’s edge, behind a fence, quite far away from the visitors. Downtown is quite busy – buses are full and the sidewalks are crowded. The Games have begun! I’ll be visiting the flame throughout the upcoming weeks – just to check in.
