A fine day.

in General, Photos

I had an extra hour of sunshine today because I started work an hour early. After work, I took a walk in the park and breathed in the fall air. It really smells like fall these days – especially in the mornings. And yet, it’s still mostly sunny and warm. So dreamy. And cheerful.

You know what I’ve been doing lately at work? Standing in front of classrooms, writing down important dates on the white board and asking the class if they have “any questions?”. Never in a million years did I ever picture myself doing that for work. EVER. In fact, at my last job, I used to get so nervous speaking in front of the groups of 20 or so, I wouldn’t be able to sleep the night before and eventually asked if I could be excused from that job duty. I just thought I wasn’t meant to do that kind of work. I did it today and didn’t even get nervous the second time I went up. So. Weird.

I don’t know what’s gotten into me. I’ll just roll with it and not think about it at all.

Moving on…

I found an Iron Man in the neighbour’s garden.

And some sun rays in the trees.

I also started reading a book today that I’m having trouble putting down. It’s written in memoir/diary (sorta) style and it’s about martial arts. Jay Mohr had the author on this week and the book is called A Fighter’s Heart. It made the bus trip home very lovely. In fact, I’d rather read that than watch Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

True story.
