“Another day, another shift with the hairdryer behind trees.” Zuze thought to herself as she drove to work. Oh well, she didn’t mind too much, it gave her plenty of time to think about different hand-to-hand combat moves and strategies for taking down bad guys. Once she got to the station, she found a note on her locker. It was from her boss, Sergeant Batista.
Constable Bailey,
Please see me in my office.

So, she shined up her boots, put her freshly pressed uniform and assertively walked to her superior’s office.
Sgt. Batista was clearly happy to see her – she breathed a sigh of relief. She dismissed the thought of a possible error on a speeding ticket she doled out earlier in the week.
“I have some good news for you, Constable Bailey.” Sgt. Batista said warmly. “We are giving you a transfer – a bit of a promotion, really. A position came available in the K9 Unit and we would like to offer it to you.”
Constable Bailey smiled, “Yes, Sarge, I would love to work in the K9 unit.”
“Excellent. Meet your new partner, Rocky.”
“Best. Christmas. Ever.” Zuzu Bailey thought to herself.

Oh man I was up till three last night reading a techno-thriller and now this. N0 sleeping for me for the next little while. Just can’t wait for the next installment. No chance of Zuzu getting an F-22 Raptor is there? Get these characters into StoryMill!
