Even though I had created some crunchier than the traditional Anzac biscuits, I have to tell you, they were a big hit. That recipe made about 4 dozen cookies and they were all gone by 2:30. We started eating them for breakfast – well, they did have oats in them. Charmaine and Bec checked in frequently on a website for “the most famous radio station in Australia.” It’s called Triple J and they do a count down of the top 100 songs for the year. They were really looking forward to this. And guess what the #24 song of the year in Australia was? Let me give you a hint. The band is from New Zealand and they sing about a certain someone taking a bus out of town. You got it! The song is called, Carol Brown [no "e", sadly] but still! Here it is for you again just for Australia Day.
In case you weren’t aware that my sister decorated some giant underpants with my face on the butt, she did. You can see them here, in the fridge.
Bec brought another delicacy from Down Under – melted Mars bars mixed with rice krispies. Amazing. She said she added honey to the melted Mars bars before adding the cereal. I think she called it Mars Slice. As you can see, a very healthy day at the office.
And on an completely unrelated note, is it just me or do you see a tiger face in the meteor?

I’m pretty sure I see a tiger profile. Anyone else? Anyone?

It did take awhile..I was so distracted by the ghostly shapes in the reflections but eventually I looked at the whole profile and found the tiger’s mouth and then by golly, it does look like a tiger!!
Absolutely! Tiger – Not lion. Roman nose = Tiger. COOOL.
I have to wait for after work for sound on the computer. Then I will check out Carol Brown [sic].
When I went to Australia and had a Mars candy bar I was soo sad that it didn’t have almonds. The american version (which was discontinued) had almonds and it was so yummy. On the other hand I’d pretty much walk from Sacramento to Canada to eat a Mars Slice.
Oh, and I think depending on how you look at it…there is either a tiger’s profile (like maybe a black panther) or a roaring lion!
“I was kinda hoping she would stick around.” Kinda cool how he references Simon and Garfunkel. “50 ways to leave your lover.” Well, I think it is a better song than the one everyone quotes at me about my name; one of the few bad Roy Orbison songs. The hair is pretty retro. Check out those sideburns. Ah, I am old.
