I think I can! I think I can!

in General, Sewing

I’ve been sewing and sewing and sewing, and I’ve used up nearly all the Pacific fabric designed by Cynthia and have made an almost queen-sized quilt top. I think I’m going to finish this! I just have one more strip of fabric to sew around the edge before I sew it into a quilt sandwich.

Tomorrow I’ll go get some quilt batting and then sew some lovely rectangles on it instead of stippling. I was thinking along the lines of rectangles like this. Although, I think that was done with a long armed quilting machine. But that’s the kind of quilting I’ll attempt with my little Kenmore.

And then what will I do with it? I’m not sure. A couch quilt, I think. Most likely, it will be something for the kitties to lay on. Oh well. Who cares! I will have finished a quilt! Huzzah!

Best get back to it. I want to keep the momentum going…

I think I can! I think I can! I am very, very close!

Carol, you can do it! Practice drawing the rectangles on paper, fill a page or two with doodles each time you get set to quilt. I still haven’t finished the quilting on my modern sampler, but I was doing that same quilting pattern, and let me tell you, it takes a lot of thread, so buy more than you think you’ll need! Good luck!
