Mad Man

Mike picked up this carrier for Oscar when he had to take the little man to the vet last month due to his kitty virus. Update – Oscar is all better now. He’s no longer doing the tiny kitty sneezes he was doing when he was ill. I couldn’t figure out what the noise was he was making – he just made the teeniest little “choo! choo!” noises.

The vet suggested that a good way for Oscar to get used to the new carrier is to keep it out for him, as though it was part of his regular environment around the house. It didn’t take him long to used to it. We have it out all the time – he regularly sleeps in there and can be often seen in the exact pose. I picked up some cat grass for him and put it outside his little kitty condo, so he has a little garden out front of his carrier door. It’s very good feng shui to have a nice entrance to your front door – might as well feng shui Oscar’s place, too. It’s super easy.

Meanwhile, Mike and I have been VERY distracted by Mad Men. Holy smokes. We’ve seen both Seasons 1 & 2 and have been watching Season 3 in between. Oh my God. I have to find out what happens to Don Draper and Betty…Roger Sterling and Peggy Olson. It’s just too much. It’s a great 1960′s drama/soap opera/story of secrets and scandals. I am completely in love with it.

We’re nearly caught up. And after tonight, I’ll be posting even more photos of the Canucks open practice and other fun goodies.

Speaking of fun goodies, Bec & Charmaine arrived at the office today with a small package of cranberries. Plain, old, cranberries. They brought it as a snack – just on their own. They thought you could eat them like berries.

So of course we told them to try it. Heh. Now we’re just being mean to the Australians. I do feel bad. I’ll make them some cranberry muffins or something to make up for their poor sour pinchy faces. Heh. You should have seen them. The trickery was spur of the moment, so I have no photographic proof of this prank. You’ll just have to take my word on that.

A person of class likes to match his environment with his own colours. That dwelling matches Oscar perfectly. Good buy. : )

Glad Oscar is getting over his sniffles.

Re: Mad Men – What took you so long? I’ve been telling you to watch it since it started! You silly woman! ;-)

Oscar looks very happy in his Petmate! Glad to hear he’s going better!

Mad Men= awesome. I would love to dress like the fab women on that show even just for a day!

And yay for Oscar liking his carrier-and over his sniffles- Bucky gets that every once in a while too and it goes away just as quickly as he got it. Now he’s 14 yrs old & senile= whole new ball game! poor sod!

Too funny about the cranberries- but they look so juicy and red and yummy!

What would Don Draper do? That, by the way is going to be our next cat’s name. A male = Don Draper a female = Joan Holloway … both very cat like… Roger Sterling as well.
