Last night there was an earthquake in the Queen Charlotte’s – up north on the coast from us. Apparently it was a big one – 7.7. Neither Mike nor I felt it. There were tsunami warnings as well. Last night it rained and rained, and then today? Mild and sunny. Talk about lucking out. Thank goodness for that.

So, while I was out and about, I spotted many pretty orange trees and leaves still not quite ready to give it up for Fall.

One of my errands today was picking up the Halloween candy. Just know that if you see me buying Halloween candy in September, it’s not for Halloween. Chances are better that the treats make it to the big day if I get the loot a few days before October 31st. I have not taken up mom’s trick yet of buying nothing but gum and suckers. Ah boo to that! She’s way more disciplined than I am. Also, we’d have gum and suckers laying around the house until the summer. Who wants that? Nobody, that’s who.

Only three more sleeps until Halloween and I am a bit short on the festivity photos! I’d better get cracking on that. I need to carve the jack-o-lanterns and I’d better take photos of some spooky decorations PRONTO.
