Wait. I know. Two photos of myself in less than a week. Oh man. But I didn’t show you my new glasses yet and I wanted you to see what they look like. Tada!
I brought my Potatohead doll home for this self portrait. He usually sits on my desk at the office. Someone at work noticed the similarity in our spectacles. I didn’t want to take pictures of myself in florescent lighting at the office (not exactly flattering) so I brought it home.
My new glasses are excellent. I feel like someone pressed auto contrast in photoshop and the unsharpen mask – my vision is much sharper and everything looks much brighter now. Weird. It’s like I was walking around with sunglasses on for the last few years or something.
Once I got the new glasses, I figured I should get a haircut, too.
And that’s why it took me a week to show you my new specs.
Added bonus of the glasses: my boss said, “Hey! You look professional with those glasses on.”
My plan is working. Heh.

Heya Carol, thanks for adding me at twitter and twitting about my latest post, that’s so sweet! You’ve got a great blog here too, love your mom-photo with description! And you and Mr Potato are cute together, though you’re cuter than him of course.
take care and stay creative!
"I can see clearly now…" New glasses rank right up there with new runners.
Love your new glasses- they suit you very much! Very cute, and professional too!

I like the glasses. I had that effect with my new glasses too, sort of. The sort of comes from going from straight glasses to (tri)focals. These puppies took some getting used to. The advantage is that if I don’t want to see something clearly, I look through the wrong part of the lense. ; )
I don’t see the resemblence between you and Mr. Potatoe Head. Was thinking of you as I was taking the bus past W&A Farms who are selling seed potatoes and have the Best Potatoes Ever. Bijichs and Deserees and purple ones and…
The new glasses are fantastic! They will compliment your mom tattoo perfectly.
