Mike and I went to Granville Island today to watch Cynthia win the Garbage Can Art Contest. W00T! She turned her garbage can into a giant cupcake complete with a sparkly cherry on the top. After the prizes were awarded to the top 3 artists, there was an auction and all the proceeds went to the BC Children’s Hospital. We hung out long enough to see the bidding war for Cynthia’s piece and then headed out.

This vampire garbage can tied for 2nd place. I love her little pointy fangs. She’s a cute blood sucker, no? That reminds me. I miss True Blood. *Sigh*
We met the artist, Nicci Battilana. She does all kinds of lovely work.

I can’t figure out who the artist is who painted this kitty. But I’ll track it down for sure and report back. I just love that face in the moon, too.
