Summer nights

Even though I'm at the Jack Poole Plaza a lot, I never thought of it as a park where people would hang out and play. To me, it's a place to come look at the Olympic Cauldron, whether it's on or not. Tonight was the first time I noticed that people just hang out there. There were people dotted all over the plaza. It makes sense tonight - it was breezy and cool. There were people walking their dogs and others just sitting on the cement seats, chatting. And these dudes were playing Hacky Sack under the blue glow of the cauldron. It was lovely and quiet. Very relaxing - another nice little hub of quiet in the city. Which reminds me, it's been ages since I've visited the Chinese Gardens. I think I need to go for a visit in the next couple of weeks.
