Yesterday was a banner mail day. I got these LEGO minifigs – all the way from Jolly Old England. They are the official Team Great Britain LEGO athletes. My buddy, Sarah, sent these to me. Thank you, Sarah! Actually, she sent me 3, but I’m saving one for a friend who really likes LEGO. I know! I’m sharing minifigs! I can hardly believe it, myself. But I’m pretty sure this person will appreciate it.
I love that all the athletes come with a gold medal. So. Cute. The Judo girl has a pony tail and I love the weight lifter guy. He’s even grimacing. I have to say, I’ve been watching some of the weightlifting. It seems like a very 70′s sport to me. I think it’s the leotards they wear. Still, it is amazing how they lift the weights straight up – especially the women. It always looks like it hurts – especially the back. And how do you figure out that weight lifting is what you want to do?

Team Great Britain! Yay!
Sadly, our plans to see the fireworks in the boat were kibosh-ed. Even though a boat can float with an engine that doesn’t run, it just takes a really long time to row it out to English Bay. That was okay because I watched Olympics (Yah! Cheetah Legs! GO!!!) and made some chocolate cupcakes for Mike’s birthday tomorrow.
I also waited patiently for Mike get off work so we could watch more of the Inbetweeners (speaking of Great Britain) – it’s a great TV series. I love it. And it would make my mom blush, so she probably wouldn’t enjoy it. But I really do.
