After my short visit to the Mint Pavilion today, I took the CanadaLine Skytrain to City Hall. I had heard that the Mayor of Vancouver had put up the flag of Georgia in memory of Nodar Kumaritashvili, the luger who died on the first day of the Winter Games. The flag has been raised out in the garden area. His funeral is scheduled for tomorrow in his home town of Bakuriani.

Good for the Mayor. That is a very sad thing.
