The people down the street have outdone themselves this year. Since we’ve lived here, this pig garden ornament has been a butterfly, a clown, Bat Pig, and the Tin Man. But this year, Aloha! It’s a Hawaiian pig on a surfboard and NOT in a delicious pit served with poi. No apples in this pig’s mouth – only leis and sunglasses. Simply terrific, pink cement pig owners! I love this little guy.
I met the owner of this home once when she was out in the garden. She told me the pig came with the house when they bought it – they just couldn’t bring themselves to get rid of him. So every year, they dress him up. Sometimes they decorate him for Valentine’s Day and they put reindeer antlers on him in the winter for Christmas. Speaking of Christmas…guess what I picked up today?
A LEGO Advent calendar! Woohoo! I picked up an actual calendar with the boxes for each day. I’m very excited about this. Now I have to figure out this year’s Christmas card.
Wait, I’m getting ahead of myself. I need to carve the pumpkins first. Jack-lanterns first. I’ll get them done in the next few days. I’m still not sure if they’ll have hearts for eyes or if I’ll make them very simple with dots for eyes and straight across mouths.
