I did it! And now it’s time to sleep. Holy man. The Vancouver Photo Marathon was long, but fun. It was 11.25 hours of good times. I a photo of the Lions Gate Bridge, the giant severed head in Yaletown, a pie and my favourite theme, “vague”. If there’s one thing I can do well, it’s vague photos with the toy camera. I was interviewed by a guy I recognized from the Breakfast TV show from a couple of years ago. I think he said he’s working for Telus TV now.
I took some of the photos I tried to take with the Diana and I’ll post them later – kind of like, “What I hoped I’d taken a photo of.” and then “what the film photo really turned out to be.”.
Also, I have one question, and that’s why was there no theme for a “giant sparrow” today? Because I totally found 2 of them…
I went over to Athlete’s Village – that’s where the great big sparrows live. But nope. We had to find a photo for “dog eat dog” instead. UGH.
I have never seen those birds! How long have they been there?
GREAT shot by the way.. .
Yes, you did!
Btw, the guy’s name is Dave Gerry. He used to be a fixture at Citytv but now works for Telus TV like you said.
Good to see you had a good time. We loved having you. Looking forward to seeing the results!
WOO HOO! Congratulations! I can’t wait to see how your pictures turned out — this is just the coolest photo excursion. (Although I’m sorry about the birds not making the cut. Those are so awesome!)
Awesome!! I can’t wait to see how your photos turned out!!
What a cool idea! Take photos with the camera you know to compare with the toy camera, that is a bit iffy on the engineering side of things. Very Very Cool!
I can’t wait. I can’t wait.
