Pop Rocks

A very long time ago, in 2010, the sails at the Vancouver Convention Centre were replaced by shiny, new ones. What did they do with the old sails, you ask? Well, they turned them into seats. Seats for lunching downtown, that is.

They are gigantic bean bags. So awesome. So 70′s! I’m sure they’re comfy. I have to admit, I didn’t try them out myself. I had a limited amount of time for this photoshoot. No time for lollygagging around in the sun.

People seemed to be enjoying themselves, with their lunches bought from the surrounding food trucks, and some were not following these directions.

I actually witnessed several people (and children!) climbing on the Pop Rocks. I didn’t take their photos. I wouldn’t want to get them into trouble. Speaking of trouble, why is the figure on this warning sign positioned like that?

I’m sorry, all I can see is this.

Heh.

Anyway, safety first and, please note: photoshop is hard! I couldn’t get the edges quite right, but you get the idea.

*Not the delicious candy.
