“Secret World”

in Photos, Vancouver

A few days before the Vancouver Photo Marathon, I noticed this graffiti in the alley behind the YWCA on Hornby Street while heading back to the office from an employer meeting. I didn’t take a photo that day, but made a mental note of it for a later date. And that date arrived last Sunday when the theme, “Secret World” was drawn for the 6th hour.

This is the photo I hoped to have taken with my toy camera. But did I? I have no idea. We’ll find out next month.

Tomorrow I’m off on an annual pilgrimage for apples to the Apple Barn with Cynthia. Sadly, Denise may not be able to make it, but we’ll bring her back a bag. We’re going out for the honeycrisps. Delicious, juicy, crunchy honeycrisp apples. And I think I’ll pick up a couple of pumpkins. I need to get a head start on our free October desktop calendar AND some Halloween cards. I’ll keep an eye out for a squatty, oblong pumpkin like this one, so I can make the same kind of Jack-o-lantern as my mom made when she was a kid.
