I found an oak tree on my way home from work today. I got off a few stops early to pick up some meat from M&M Meat shop for dinner and spotted a great big tree full of small green acorns on it. They were about half the size of my thumb – the top half, to be exact. I had a nice little photo session and when I got home and looked this photo, my first thought was, “This looks fake. This looks like I set it up.” But I didn’t, honestly. I didn’t even touch the tree. I didn’t use a flash, either. I can’t explain why the acorn looks so much shinier than the leaves behind it. The grey background is a result of a wire fence and the dirt behind the fence was light, too. You can kind of see the pattern of the fence.
And it was overcast when I took the photo.
So that’s how I did that. I pinky swear!

That’s a beautiful photo – keep that one around to sell!
