Trying out Mike's Canon Powershot G5

Mike’s camera is a couple steps above my little camera and I’m trying it out. I was asked to take some photos at an event tomorrow after work and was hoping I could get some better indoor shots with this camera. It’s okay, but feels bulky compared to my little guy and it’s set up completely different – even the focus is in a different spot. I’ll give it a try today and decide tomorrow if I want to take it with me. So far, the focus is a bit weird, but it zooms in pretty close, which I like. The colours, though, hmmm…not at close as I was hoping, but maybe that’s because of the light today. It’s overcast outside. But wait, the colour of the bowl is perfect. Maybe I’m being a bit harsh.

Also, I had no idea that Key Limes were different than regular limes. I haven’t tasted them yet, so will let you know if they even taste different. They’re little.

Are you sure it’s the camera with the colours and not your monitor? http://www.photofriday.com/calibrate.php
