Welcome

Spooky welcome!

I took this photo tonight in between trips to the compost bin and the recycling bin, but for some reason, it reminds me of a horror movie. SNORT!  I think it’s a combination of my socks and clogs and the flash. Spooky! They’re coming to get you, Barbara!

Happily, I have tomorrow off from work and decided that today I would quickly clean up the craft room so I could do some sewing tomorrow.

OOF.

Once I opened the door and peeked in, I knew it was not going to be a quick clean up. It’s a sad fact that I’ve been avoiding my creative room! It’s true. I’ve not sewn much at all in the last few months. I have too many things in there. I have wondered in the past if my hobby is sewing or if it’s just shopping for supplies. Today I felt like collecting and shopping for supplies is the hobby. So, I went through a bunch of stuff and packed it up to take to the thrift store in the New Year. Also, we’ve got a de-stash for the quilt guild in January, so I will be taking some things there for sure – things like fabric I picked up 2 years ago at the de-stash that I haven’t touched yet. LOLS! Hoarders! Buried Alive! AGAIN! Oh well, at some point I will become less greedy for things and just focus on the project(s) I really want to work on and finish.

Maybe that could be the theme of 2016 – use what I have? Finish something? Slow down and focus? I already have what I need?

Hmmm…I could be on to something.

Carol, I must confess I have a hoarding problem as well. You would not guess this from looking at my house at first glance. But if you saw the basement! Oi!!
