So we all got off the bus, and walked across the Granville Street Bridge. Here we all are:
The whole bus cleared out and everyone got out and walked – including a whole kindergarten class that happened to be on the same bus as me. And not just the bus I was on, but other buses, too. I was going back to the office after a meeting and ended up walking about 3 KM back to work. Granville Street and the bridge STINKS due to construction. The sign said it will be on-going until November 2009. On the plus side, I got to see what’s on the OTHER side of the bridge – Granville Island and the glass buildings of Yaletown. They even have a little Aqua Bus on the other side of the bridge.
That’s how my day started, continued on to be a bit of a rocky morning, but definitely improved as the day carried on until I saw some buddies this evening. To tell you the truth, I’m just looking forward to my days off next week. I’m preoccupied with plans of entertaining my mom and sister…more kayaking, a trip up to Grouse Mountain, go see a couple of movies, a trip up to Whistler. I used my time wisely this morning on my unplanned walk. I used it for event planning.

that’s crazy! whilst i understand the need for construction and road maintenance, that sort of thing would make me nuts!
