A successful day.

I’m happy to report today was a much needed improvement to yesterday. Mainly because I didn’t leave any personal belongings on the bus. Yay me! I started the day by taking my iron to work with me so that I could remove some water rings off my desk. Mayonnaise didn’t work, neither did ironing through a cloth, but using the steam about an inch above the cloth? That did the trick. My office desk space has never looked so good.

Next up, a satisfying finish with my wall-hanging and hung it up on the mantle.

I finally found some right sized embellishments for it – all buttons – and a star for the top. Here’s a closer view for those of you who wish:

The day after. The day after the biggest party I’m pretty sure this city has ever seen. What was it like today? Well, quiet for one thing.

I saw a lot of this:

We’re very close to the Canada Line Skytrain Station, so people were heading over with their suitcases to catch their flights home.

Up the street I found some stragglers from Finland…
