Mike: Phew! that was close. Thank goodness for Oscar and Donner. I know we complain about their sharp nails, but I’ll never complain again.

Carol (out of breath): Frank…you’ve got to come see this! Wait! What did I miss?
Frank: What is it? Oh, and I’m just cleaning up. I tried a new cookie recipe, but I won’t show you until tomorrow – when the cookies are ready.
Carol: Huh? That’s like 12 hours from now. What the heck kind of cookies are they?
Frank: You’ll find out TOMORROW.
Carol: Sheesh. Fine. Look. You’ve got to come see this house. Mike and I have driven past it a thousand times, but this is the first time I stopped to take photos.
Frank: Why?
Carol: Just come with us!
We hopped in the car and drove about 5 minutes away to the little blue house on Broadway in Burnaby. At least I think it’s Broadway Street.

…completely kicked my a$$. I know. I don’t usually swear on the air, but today was a tough one. I won’t bother with the details – suffice to say I was disappointed and was a disappointment today. Now that I’ve typed that out, I think it may just cancel itself out. So, let’s just pretend today is completely neutral and look at Donner with some oldie-time Christmas lights.

These lights are not LEDs and felt pretty warm to the touch almost immediately upon plugging them in. I’ll use them sparingly this Christmas. But they are pretty and I like that they remind me of our Christmas trees when I was a kid.
