Guess who was in the little box marked #14 this morning?
Oscar.

This is not a surprise at all. Oscar is definitely all recovered now since his incident with the yarn. He’s actually even a bigger hooligan now than before he wore the cone. He has been getting into everything and is stealthier than ever. For example, last week as I was leaving for work in the morning, I realized that I didn’t see Oscar as I shut the door. I decided I’d better make sure he was okay and not locked in my office again. I’ve deemed my office the danger zone for him and always keep the door closed when I’m not home. Then early one Saturday morning I accidentally locked him in there for a few hours. I felt awful when Mike found him in there. He was fine, just played with some paper. Thankfully.
But the morning I came back into the house to see where he went, I could not find him. I checked every where…the danger zone office, the closets, everywhere. Mike came out to help me and we looked everywhere. Worried that he had somehow followed me outside, I really panicked. We had seen coyotes the night before in the neighbourhood. I didn’t want to even think about that, and plus, I was really sure I didn’t see him as I was leaving, so it would be impossible for him to scoot out the door.
I went back into the bathroom, pulled back the shower curtain. No kitty. Mike looked in the kitchen…the washer…the dryer…we looked everywhere. Then Mike asked me the last room of the house I was in – I told him the bathroom, and just then Mike opened up the bathroom cupboard, and out strolled Oscar. I guess he had hopped in there when I put the hair dryer away. I didn’t notice him because I don’t wear my glasses while using the hair blower. I was nearly an hour late for work that day. But if I hadn’t thought to come back in to find him, he could have been stuck in the bathroom cupboard all day.
Sheesh. Oscar.
So, here we are looking for Oscar again, and thankfully, Constable Bailey and Rocky pointed him out to us as he was hanging out on the new recycling bin over at the P0lice Station.
Now, what does this have to do with the XMAS Bandit? Not much. I guess I got a little off topic today. Also, I was thinking about the Season Finale of Dexter from last night. Now THAT was a surprise ending. I won’t say anything else about it just in case you haven’t seen it yet, but, whoa.
