After I took Mike into work, we got dressed up in our rain gear (AKA umbrellas) and headed over to the Burnaby Heritage Museum for the Farmers’ Market.

It was pouring rain. I felt bad for those poor vendors. But we soldiered on and bought organic cherries, tomatoes, carrots and bread from the Bread-Mobile. I love that name. I loved the Book-Mobile as a kid. All those books on the rainbow bus? It was amazing.

We were not alone at the market by any means. We had to wait our turn to stand in the gazebo for photos. I’m not sorry we waited. So far my favourite photo of the trip was taken there.

Hopefully tomorrow the weather will be sunny or else the entire house will be covered by dandelions 20 feet tall. We really need to get out there.

Meanwhile, back in the rain…
