Meanwhile, over at the local P0lice Station, Constable Bailey had just ended her shift. Zuzu (but her friends call her Zuze for short) had a tough day of traffic tickets to dole out – mainly speeding tickets. She spent the day hiding out behind trees, preferably on the other side of a curve in the road, and then as an unsuspecting speeder approached, she’d step out with the radar gun at the car and direct the driver to pull over. C0ps holding hairdryers shift – it’s a tough shift – and she heard every excuse in the book as she wrote out ticket after ticket.
She cheerfully performed her traffic duties. She loved being a cop, wearing a uniform, arresting shoplifters, driving really fast with the siren on, all the working out, hand-to-hand combat and target practice. Secretly, she loved the offers of free coffee at the local coffee shops – which, she refused. She wanted no special treatment because of her career choice and wanted to support the local economy. She paid for her own coffee all the time.
Zuze was now planning a change within the p0lice force. She had a few options to consider; working in homicide, maybe becoming a detective, working in the Canine Unit, or maybe becoming a bicycle c0p. She also thought about going undercover in the gang world and then there was the Arson Unit to ponder. She turned them all over in her mind as she left the station, stopping to admire the cute little snowman decorations while walking towards her Smart Car.
“I think I’ll go home and watch a movie.” She thought to herself as walked through the fresh crunchy snow. “I think tonight’s a good night to watch Elf”:
“Oh wait. It’s Sunday. I’d better watch Dexter, first.”
Constable Bailey is rarely NOT thinking about the Police Force. She’s a very dedicated officer.
